Charles Leslie Huckabay, 71, of Lakeland, passed away on March 05, 2023.
A native of Lakeland, Florida, Charles was born on June 18, 1951, to Frank and Lenora Huckabay (Costine)
Charles worked as a maintenance mechanic for Publix for many years. His favorite pastime was watching movies. He loved 'Casablanca' and all the classic black and white films. He enjoyed going to the beach and he loved to swim. Affectionately referred to as Charlie by Sharron, he loved spending time with her and planned to travel the country in an RV before falling ill. He was a quiet and private man who kept to himself and was content with his small circle and party of two.
Charles was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his beloved companion of more than 30 years, Sharron Townsend, and his siblings, Elaine E. Estridge, Gene Huckabay, and Robert Huckabay..

Friends and family will be received Friday, March 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services, 717 Griffin Road Lakeland, FL 33805.
A funeral service will follow at 1:00 Pm be held Monday, March 17, 2023 at Lanier Funeral and Cremation Services in Lakeland, FL, with pastor DeWayne Howard officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Burial Park, Lakeland, Florida.
