Catherine Kalivas, a woman of faith and devotion, passed away on February 28, 2024, at the age of 89 in Lakeland, Florida. She was born on June 5, 1934, in the Bronx, New York, to John and "Jenny (Treant) Kalivas.
Catherine was a loving sister to her brother, George Kalivas. Her life was further enriched by the joy of her own family, as she became the proud mother of Demetra Bennet and Alexander (Christine) Bennet. Her legacy continued to flourish through the lives of her three grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Professionally, Catherine dedicated many years of service as a secretary with the Internal Revenue Service. Her retirement marked the end of a respected career but also the beginning of new opportunities to engage with her passions and her faith.
A devout member of the Greek Orthodox Church, Catherine's faith was the cornerstone of her existence. She lived a faith-filled life, embodying the principles of her beliefs through her actions and gentle guidance.
