Casey Driggers, 54 years of age, passed away on May 3, 2026, after a courageous battle with cancer, with his wife, mother, brother (Jeff), and friends beside him. He was a native of Lakeland, where he met his wife, Nancy Driggers, over 26 years ago and became the most amazing father to Arabella Driggers over 7 years ago.
Casey was dedicated to his career at TECO People Gas for almost 18 years. When he was diagnosed with cancer and unable to work, he would often say he wished he could go back to work. Casey missed the people, which is what he enjoyed the most. Once he stopped working, he spent many days researching ways to survive cancer and reading and learning more about the Bible.
The life Casey lived was much more than Cancer and TECO; it was about the things he loved most of all and left behind, his family. A friend recently shared that Nancy, his wife, and his daughter, Arabella Driggers, were his greatest gift and his dream. He never stopped fighting for them, and they never stopped fighting for him. They were his whole world, and he was theirs. Once he learned that he didn't have much time left, he planned a vacation to Disney to create memories. He wanted to be the first to take Arabella to Disney, and he accomplished that, despite how sick he was. He was always teaching Arabella and Nancy about his favorite interest, which they enjoyed learning and participating in. He loved going metal detecting, playing the guitar, creating and building unique things, and visiting antique stores. He bought Arabella her first metal detector, which they enjoyed using together. The love for music he passionately shared with Arabella by playing the guitar and exposing her to a world of music.
Casey had a love for the water, and on weekends he loved nothing more than going to the beach with his family. Casey became a certified cave diver in his earlier years. He shared the love of cave diving with his friends, his brothers, his parents, and Nancy while visiting different springs and sharing videos and experiences he encountered.
Casey was preceded in death by his father, Roger Driggers; his grandparents; his sister-in-law, Andrea Driggers; his brother-in-law, Pierre; and his child (dog), Mika, that he shared with his wife. He always had a special place in his heart for Mika, and she lived on through the memories they shared.
Casey is survived by his wife, Nancy Driggers; his daughter that they share, Arabella Driggers; his mother, Donna Driggers; his brothers, Jeffrey and Andrew; his mother-in-law, Linda; his brothers-in-law, Kenneth and Dan (Sumi); and his sister-in-law, Lorraine (John); along with many other friends and family that will sadly miss him.
The legacy of love, strength, generosity, his love for reading, science, and thirst for knowledge will forever be remembered.
