Barbara Pearce Obituary

Barbara Lee Pearce, a woman of love and faith, passed away peacefully on November 16, 2024, at the age of 86 in Lakeland, Florida. Born on April 14, 1938, in Westover, Pennsylvania, Barbara's life was a testament to the power of devotion, both to her family and her faith.

Barbara's journey began as the cherished daughter of Ernest and Emma Westover. She grew up alongside her siblings Linda and Laverne, as well as six other siblings who predeceased her. Her early life in Westover laid the foundation for the remarkable woman she would become.

On August 27, 1955, Barbara married the love of her life, Wallace Pearce. Their union was a beautiful example of partnership and commitment, lasting until Wallace's passing, just one week after Barbara's, on November 23, 2024. Together, they raised a loving family, including their children Wallace Pearce Jr. (deceased), Jeffrey Kent Pearce, Kerry Todd Pearce, Lori Diane Pearce, and Jennifer Lyn Pearce. Barbara's role as a mother was one of her greatest joys and accomplishments.

Barbara's legacy extends through her adoring grandchildren: Barbara Nichole Rayburn, John Wallace Pearce, Kerry Stephen Pearce, Joseph Tyler Pearce, and Brittany Marie Vittor, as well as her ten great-grandchildren. She took immense pleasure in her role as a grandmother, showering her grandchildren and great-grandchildren with the same love and attention that she bestowed upon her own children.

A lifetime member of the Gibsonia Church of God, Barbara's faith was a cornerstone of her existence. She played the piano for her church community, sharing her musical gifts and her unwavering spirit with all who gathered to worship. Her love for music was only matched by her love for her husband and family.

Barbara's interests and talents were many. She was known for her exceptional skills in the kitchen, a great cook whose meals were a source of comfort and celebration. Her love for shopping was well-known among her family and friends, and her impeccable taste brought joy to many occasions.

Above all, Barbara was loving, faith-filled, and selfless. These words not only describe her, but they also encapsulate the way she lived her life every day. She was a woman who put others before herself, and her presence was a gift to those who knew her.

Barbara's passing leaves a void in the hearts of those she touched, but her spirit will continue to inspire and guide her family. She was a woman of grace, whose life was a reflection of the love and light she so freely gave.

As we say farewell to Barbara Lee Pearce, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy of love that will endure through the generations. Her memory will be cherished and kept alive by all who were fortunate enough to know her. Barbara's journey on earth has ended, but her story will continue to be told with admiration and love.
