Barbara Ann Hunt

Barbara Ann Foshee Clements Hunt, passed away on November 20, 2025, in her hometown of Lakeland, Florida. Born on July 10, 1936, to Julius Kicker "K.C." Clark and Georgia Rutland, Barbara's life was a testament to her unwavering faith, her dedication to family, and her intellectual pursuits.

Barbara's journey began in Lakeland, where she was a lifelong resident. She was preceded in death by her husband, Eldridge Hunt Sr., as well as by her parents, her sister Mary Car Matthews, and her children, William "Bill" Clements, Jennie Lynn Clements, Marsha Hunt Brodhage, and Colin E Hunt Jr.

Her spirit lives on through her surviving siblings, Clyde Foshee and Loretta Britt, her children, Scott Allen Clements and his wife Tracie Ostwalt Clements, Robert W. Monroe, Mary Lynn Johnson, and Cathy Hunt, married to Robert "Bob" Simms. Barbara's love and guidance were a cornerstone for her numerous nephews, nieces, 13 grandchildren, and over 28 great-grandchildren, along with many great-great-grandchildren, also cherish her memory.

Barbara's professional life was marked by over 55 years of dedicated service as a clerk and bookkeeper at Foshee Jewelers. Her work ethic and attention to detail were unparalleled, making her a respected figure in the business community. However, it was her passion for genealogy that truly captivated her intellect. Since 1979, Barbara meticulously researched her family tree, uncovering fascinating histories that stretched back to the 1200s on one line and the 1400s on several others. Her discoveries were not just for her own enjoyment but served as a cherished gift to her extensive family, ensuring that their roots and stories would be preserved for generations to come.

Barbara's life was a reflection of her most treasured values: God, family, work, and friendships. Her loving nature, faith-filled heart, and intelligence were the pillars upon which she built her life and influenced those around her.
As we bid farewell to Barbara Ann Foshee Clements Hunt, we celebrate a life beautifully lived and a legacy that will continue to inspire. Her memory will be held dear in the hearts of all who knew her, and her influence will be felt for many years to come.

Friends and Family will be received on Wednesday, December 3rd, 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at Bethel Baptist Church, 3125 W Socrum Loop Rd, Lakeland, FL 33810, with a Funeral service following at 11 AM. A Graveside service will follow at Bethel Baptist Cemetery.
