Avelean Reynolds, 80, of Lakeland, Florida, passed away on August 20,2023.
Avelean was born on November 26, 1942, in Lakeland, FL to Therman G. and Avie (Osteen) Baker.
Avelean was a banker, working in the trust department at the original People's Bank and she was proud of her job. She absolutely loved fishing. She ran the campground at Lake Arbuckle and if the fish were bitin' she'd prop up her infamous sign that read: "Gone fishin'. Pick a spot and I'll even up when I get back". She was a member of Fellowhsip Church in Lakeland and attended regularly. She loved to cook and always made enough for anyone who might stop in. If you left her house hungry, it was your own fault. She loved her oatmeal and creme snack cakes, thrifting and just going out for a ride. She adored her family and her great grandkids were her pride and joy. She had a stubborn streak and she was a strong woman who fought the good fight and finished her course. She adored her husband Lavon for 58 glorious years and never left the house without a kiss. She leaves behind a large, loving family with many fond memories to cherish forever. She will be missed very much.
Avelean is survived by her loving husband, Lavon Reynolds, her daughter, Cecilia (Warren) Bryant, her son, Anthony (Cynthia) Reynolds, grandchildren, Emily Patterson, Zachary Patterson, Brianna (Justin) Landreth, Hannah (King Solomon) Manago, Savannah (Jacob) Stump, Carrie (Aaron) Testerman and Christian (Jason). She leaves behind her beloved great-grandchildren, Silas, Dallas, Kylee, Abigail, Naveah, Brylie, Eli, Junior, Sophia, King Solomon Jr. aka "Louie", Seth, Jacob, Braden, Ronan, and the great grands on the way, Maritia-Avelean, Cianna, and Avery.
