Alvin Ervin Nelson

Alvin “Al” Ervin Nelson, 94 of Lakeland passed away January 21, 2021.

Born in Raymond, Washington, he was the son of the late Samuel and Mary Nelson.

Also preceding him in death is his son, Larry Nelson.

Al’s survivors include his wife of 74 years, Dorothy Egerdahl Nelson; children, Joan Sweeney, Marilyn Nelson (Dave Bates); grandchildren, Bryon Sweeney, Leon and Scott Grogan (Deanna), Jim Nelson (Christina), Vickie Rath (Aydon); great grandchildren, Phaylin, Caitlyn, Kyle, Nathan, Eathan, Natasha, Justin and Brandon.

Al was a member of Northside Assembly of God. Al was a plumber early on in life and later moved to Florida, where he built two mobile home parks in Lakeland. He was busy all the time and loved working with his hands.

There will be a graveside service at 11am, Friday, January 29, 2021, Lakeland Memorial Gardens, 2125 Bartow Road, Lakeland.
