Born on February 11, 1952, in Bartow, FL, Alan's life was a testament to his dedication to his family, his passion for his work, and his enjoyment of the simple pleasures of life.

Alan's journey through life was shared with his beloved wife of 51 years, Teresa Deal, née Taylor. Together, they built a family that became his pride and joy. A man of Christian faith, he was a member of Free Life Chapel in Lakeland. He was a devoted father to his children, Alan Deal Jr. (Jessica), Heather Nance, Marla Lorette (Bryan), and Teresa Thomas (Chris). His role as a grandfather to Caleb Deal, Brielyn Nance, Zoey, and Liam Thomas was one he cherished deeply, always ready with a wise word or a playful joke. Alan also leaves behind his sister Gwen and beloved niece, Jennifer Barber.
Alan was a respected nuclear engineer, working on power plants all over the United States. He had a range of interests that kept his mind and hands busy. A voracious reader, his analytical nature was balanced by a dry sense of humor and dad jokes that were usually met with groans. He enjoyed working outside and farming on his 13 acres. He was tech-savvy, often tinkering with computers, eager to learn the latest technology.
Alan's life was one of purpose, love, and laughter. He will be remembered as a man who was analytical, intelligent, and handy. His legacy will live on in the lives of those he touched with his wisdom, his humor, and his unwavering commitment to the people and passions that defined his life.
