Tim was a lifelong drummer who was just crazy about music, especially the Beatles. He played in several local bands beginning in the mid 1960’s from The Enticers to the Florida Cruisers, playing at bottle clubs, Lake Mirror and Mayfaire among others. He enjoyed photography, many photos of which became his landscape paintings, some of which hang at Lakeland Electric and Lakeland City Hall. His favorite artists were Jackson Pollack and Vincent Van Gogh. In recent years, he painted bright, bold and beautiful abstracts. His favorite plant was bamboo, of which several varieties were planted at his home that he designed himself from Architectural Drawing classes he took. He was a foodie who steam distilled his own water. He loved bird watching and hiking at Circle B. Tim was born and raised in North Florida, spending his time in the Apalachicola National Forest at Smith Creek where his grandfather lived on the Ochlocknee River. His fondest memories were of the time he spent with his Uncle Ernie there and with Aunt Mildred and Uncle Hank on Lake Talquin. Tim was predeceased by his parents, Warren Woodbery and Lorraine Rhonda Cox Baxley, his favorite dog Jessi, and his adorable guinea pig Olivia. He leaves behind his Sweetpea, Andrea, and so many caring and loving friends who never left his side. He loved them all very much, including Willow and Socrates-the fur babies. Tim always loved spending time at the beach, especially the East Coast where his private services will be held at his favorite spot. Tim left behind this handwritten prayer: Heavenly Father, we thank you for the overflowing abundance of good things. We thank you for this time to celebrate. We thank for this chance to be together, to share together. We ask that you help us to always remember that caring about each other is the most important thing we can ever do. In lieu of flowers and based on his prayer, we request donations be made to VISTE, 1232 E Magnolia St, Lakeland, FL 33801, (863) 284-0828, or visit www.viste.org for more information. VISTE helps keep people in the comfort of their homes. Or just play some Beatles music, have a cup of coffee, spend some time outside under the trees or at the beach. Tim also had a daughter Kelly, (Bruce) and has two grandchildren Kelsy and Daniel that he never stopped loving.
