Barbara Ann Phillips, 88, of Sun City Center, FL, passed away on Tuesday, September 4, 2018.
Born in Germantown, NC, on May 26, 1930, she was the daughter of the late George F. Owen and Creola Stimpson Owen. She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Edsel Phillips, and grandson, Corbin David Bevard. She devoted her life to being a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and aunt.
Barbara is survived by her four children, Andy Phillips (Connie), Shelia Phillips Havian (Joe), Gary Michael Phillips (Joan), and Mary Susan Bevard (Dan); nieces, Elizabeth Hunnicutt and Patricia Byrd; 10 grandchildren; and 8 great-grandchildren.
The family will welcome friends on Monday, September 10, 2018 for a visitation at Bethel Baptist Church, 3125 West Socrum Loop Road, Lakeland, FL 33810, from 9:00AM-10:00AM with a funeral service to follow at 10:00AM.
